The IFRA-IOFI LATAM Week 2025, held from June 10–12 in Santiago de Chile, brought together industry leaders, regulators, and stakeholders for three days of meaningful dialogue and collaboration.

While day 1 focused on IOFI-led meetings, day 2 started with joint IFRA-IOFI sessions on evolving chemical control legislation in Latin America. Expert contributions included insights from Mabel Oyarzún (Chile’s Ministry of Health) and Pablo Olivares (from Chilean chemical and mining company SQM). The afternoon addressed sustainability, with updates on the IFRA-IOFI Sustainability Charter and the IFRA-IOFI Nagoya Protocol Task Force. Guest speaker Anita Pissolito Campos (Nascimento & Mourão Lawyers) offered legal perspectives on biodiversity legislation and ingredient sourcing in the region, helping clarify compliance challenges for companies in LATAM and beyond.

Day 3 concluded the event with IFRA committee meetings and strategic updates, including the 2024–2029 IFRA Strategy, a presentation by Chilean F&F company Cramer, and a regional market outlook by Euromonitor. A roundtable session with the five IFRA National Associations in Latin America – ABIFRA (Brazil), ACHISAF (Chile), ANDI/CISF (Colombia), ANFPA (Mexico), and CAFEPA (Argentina ) – highlighted national updates, shared challenges, and opportunities for alignment.
