Geneva, 28 March 2024 – The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) is pleased to announce the commencement of its 2024 Volume of Use (VoU) survey. The VoU survey is a crucial initiative conducted around every four years to compile comprehensive data on the volumes of fragrance ingredients utilized in the production of fragrance mixtures. The survey underscores IFRA’s unwavering commitment to promoting safety, transparency, and sustainability within the global fragrance industry.

Dubai, 30 October 2024 – The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) opened the Global Fragrance Summit 2024 in Dubai today. This summit, under the theme ​‘A world of fragrance: building bridges between innovation and global regulation,’ explored the evolving dynamics between innovation and regulatory frameworks in the fragrance sector. The two-day conference, which continues tomorrow, addresses the future of fragrance sustainability, technical innovation, global regulation, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.

Geneva, 31 October 2024 – The Board of Directors of the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) today announced the nomination of Paul Andersson to the role of Chairman of the organization. Mr Andersson takes over from Hans Holger Gliewe, who successfully served as Chairman of the association and has now decided to step back after almost five years of fruitful leadership.

As Europe shifts to safer and more sustainable chemicals, it is crucial for industry to understand which chemicals may require a deeper hazard and risk analysis.

Through its five policy recommendations, IFRA reaffirms its commitment to advancing safe, sustainable, and innovative fragrance practices and offers concrete suggestions to help incoming EU policy makers shift towards a more competitive, resilient European Union.

Brussels, 23 April 2024 – Cosmetics Europe and the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) today welcomed the European Parliament vote on the revision of the Regulation on the Classification, Labelling and Packing of chemicals (CLP). The vote confirms the text agreed between the co-legislators and will help support the future of the natural ingredients used in cosmetics and fragrances.

Geneva, 16 April 2024 – The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors. These are Farah Ahmed, President & CEO, Fragrance Creators’ Association (FCA – North America), Ana Paula Mendonça, President, Scent, IFF, and Mauro Landgraf, Director, Fragrance Division, MANE (Latin America). These new appointments come as IFRA continues to strengthen its leadership team and drive forward the global fragrance agenda.

Geneva, 2 April 2024 – The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) today announced the appointment of Caroline Li as the new Regional Director for the Asia Pacific (APAC) Region, effective immediately. Dr Li succeeds Rohaya Mamat, IFRA’s strategic initiatives in this key growth region.
